The
formation of the SFI Knowledge Center represents the newest initiative of the Swiss Finance Institute.
The center has been created to actively promote and support the information
flow between Academia (Universities) and Industry (Financial Institutions) and vice versa, to perform
an active intermediary function in the gathering and dissemination of financial knowledge, to play a
catalyst role in finding solutions to current banking problems, and to identify new trends in market
developments and banking and finance expertise.
This will be achieved
by focusing on four knowledge drivers:
Knowledge Network:
A number of
area experts will act as a key contact points for building an extensive network across various topical
areas.
Knowledge Transfer: Events focusing on current
topical issues
and new industry-relevant trends will promote a closer working relationship between industry and the
academic world.
Knowledge Communication: Research
findings and activity
take-aways will be communicated to the Knowledge Center members on a regular basis.
Knowledge
Profiling: A number of topical articles will be selected by area experts and classified into various
levels of technicality.
More information on these drivers can
be found under the specific section.
Knowledge Center members will:
have
access to this important network
be able to attend select events
receive
updated information on new trends and research results
have
a place
to find additional information and further their knowledge
