Karl Schmedders is Professor of Quantitative Business Administration and Director of the Institute for Operations Research at the University of Zurich. Before joining the University of Zurich and the Swiss Finance Institute he spent ten years at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Karl holds a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University.
Professor Schmedders’ research interests include computational economics, general equilibrium theory, asset pricing and portfolio selection. His work has been published in Econometrica, The Review of Economic Studies, The Journal of Finance, and many other academic journals.
