Course Structure
The program is split into four 1-week blocks. Each block is held in a different financial center - Geneva, London, Zurich, and Bratislava - enabling participants to gain insights into different approaches to banking through interaction with senior managers from the different countries. Each block addresses two to three key topics, typically a specific business area such as commercial banking or asset management, plus an integrative topic such as competitive strategy or risk management.

As the participants themselves bring years of exposure to the finance industry, the Senior Management Program in Banking assembles a unique wealth of industry insights into a single program.

In addition, the modular structure of the program ensures the development of a deep and lasting network among the participants, an important ingredient to facilitate the exchange of personal insights.

The Swiss Finance Institute awards a certificate to those participants who complete the program.

Lectures/Methods
The lectures will be held by renowned university professors from different well-known institutions, who are selected in view of both their academic knowledge and their understanding of practical issues resulting from working as consultants or on company boards. They will teach the conceptual interconnections while expert practitioners will illustrate real life applications in specialized lectures.

Special importance is attached to the analysis of case studies derived from real situations in practical economics and banking. The investigation of these case studies in small groups will promote an interactive approach to the subject matter and will allow the participants to solve concrete problems in a decision-oriented manner.
