The Geneva Executive Courses in Finance
The Geneva Executive Courses in Finance program is a suite of independent courses. Each course addresses a selected finance topic, where it offers a superb overview of the current status and modern developments of relevance to practitioners.

The Geneva Executive Courses in Finance are characterized by the following key principles:

  • One of the world's foremost finance faculty is selected to supervise the course;
  • Outstanding practitioners from leading institutions present their approach to implementation;
  • Strictly limited participation permits effective interaction among the international peers and with the faculty;
  • A carefully designed mix of conceptual approaches and practical applications leads to an optimal learning impact;
  • Proven teaching methods such as group problem-solving sessions allow for efficient learning.

A proven track record in executive education
Our courses have a history of more than twenty-five years. The precursor to the current program started in 1982 with faculty members such as Peter Bernstein, Richard Brealey, Stephen Schaefer, and Bruno Solnik. Over the years participants from over 1300 institutions and 98 countries have attended our courses. The program continues to draw participants from a broad spectrum of private financial institutions, central banks and international financial organizations.

New Classes
The offering and individual courses are adapted every year. In 2009 the following courses are new or have been completely restructured:

  • Financial Econometrics and Forecasting - Advanced Techniques by Prof. Francis X. Diebold from Wharton is a new 2-day course; it is aimed at those who need more than what Prof. Diebold is teaching in his standard course on "Financial Econometrics and Forecasting".
  • Credit Risk and Credit Derivatives has been completely revamped and is newly taught in 3 days by Dr Michel Crouhy. Dr Crouhy is a former Professor in Finance at HEC Paris, Wharton and UCLA, and currently the head of research and development at the French investment bank NATIXIS.

Accreditation
The Swiss Finance Institute is registered with CFA Institute as an Approved Provider of continuing education programs. The CFA Institute awards CE credits for the attendance of a Geneva Executive Course in Finance . If you are a CFA Institute member, CE credit for your attendance will be automatically recorded in your CE Diary.
