The DAS in Banking is open to a wide range of participants heading for (or having already reached) executive functions in banks, insurance companies, pension funds or other firms relating to the financial services industry (such as technology companies). Specifically, the DAS in Banking is designed for young high-potential managers and experts who wish to assume even greater responsibilities in the banking and related sectors. The DAS in Banking will enable its participants to pro-actively and successfully cope with the complex challenges of the financial industry, and to exploit the potential that the present dramatic changes offer. In particular the candidate has

  • several years' experience as a manager of a demanding business area (clients, products or employees)
  • reached, or shall soon be promoted to, a first level of executive management, typically as vice president, director, or equivalent.
  • excellent analytical skills for the independent assimilation ofcurrent topics, through the use of current banking and finance literature
  • an intellectual interest in dealing with actual social-financial developments
  • a good command of English and German so as to be able to follow the lectures and to actively participate in discussions

Participants are required to be sponsored by their firms, to ensure that they have been identified as people who are expected to play an important role in their organization's future, and in whom a significant investment makes good business sense.
